Caldbeck out and back

With the Hardmoors 55 mile ultra race fast approaching we needed to get a solid training run in this weekend. The forecast was awful and it was literally blowing a gale. We revised earlier plans to spend a day on the fells and decided to stick closer to home and follow the Cumbria Way from Dalston to Caldbeck.

It was wet and muddy and I wasn’t really feeling it, maybe getting ill or something plus it’s taking me longer and longer to settle into running- I usually feel better at around the 15-20 mile point.

Anyway some great scenery on this route and the weather improved a bit and so did I by 15 miles in, around 22 miles total.
